Mindfulness for Parents of Tweens & Teens

March 21, 2018 @ 7:00 pm - 8:30 pm

Free

Who doesn’t feel the impact of stress in daily life? We love and prioritize the needs of our children, yet it’s easy for stress to limit our best intentions while parenting. Mindfulness practices offer a way to connect with our best intentions, and approach discipline and communication from a place of love and wisdom. You’ll learn about brain science regarding teen cognition and development and stress reduction tools. Experience a sampling of science-based mindfulness practices that will help you and your tween/teen reduce daily stress.

Presenter Denise Gour is a licensed clinical social worker with 20 years experience supporting the health and well-being of children and families in the Portland area. As a certified mindfulness educator, her approach is proven to help parents reduce their stress and navigate challenges with more self-compassion, clarity, and ease.
