Promoting Resilience: Strategies to help your child thrive!

FreeFor some, childhood represents a time without worry. For others, childhood can be filled with trauma, stress, and emotional hurt ranging from classroom bullying to abuse at home. The good news is that children can thrive despite these challenges and families can help promote resilience by building skills together.
Please join Swindells Resource Center and Dr. Amy Stoeber PhD, LLC, licensed psychologist, at this free presentation exploring the key factors contributing to resiliency, including:
- An introduction to adverse childhood experiences
- The seven C’s of resilience
- Building resilience through family interventions
- Promoting family health
Dr. Stoeber works with children and families of all ages through her private practice in Portland, OR. She is endorsed in both early childhood mental health and pediatric health and serves as a member of the Healthcare Reform Taskforce for the Oregon Psychological Association. Additionally, Dr. Stoeber served as a statewide trainer for The Department of Human Services and currently promotes wellness and resilience with the Children’s Health Alliance in pediatric medical homes and other pediatric settings.
